U10’s EIHA Away Fixture at Coventry Planet Ice - 27th February 2022

Result 1st Match - MK Storm Won
MK Storm vs Peterborough
It took the third line to break down Peterborough after a few minutes with Ding coming onto the ice, broke away and neatly slotted home. On the same shift a threaded pass through from Nüth to Ding saw Ding finish into the bottom corner. Peterborough’s resistance saw them fight back with a nice goal. Nüth played a nice pass across the goal to Kenton for him to hammer it home and score his debut goal for MK Storm.
Kenton turned from scoring to creating to make a nice assist for Ding who was on fire and didn’t need another opportunity and finished it straight past the netminder. Kenton then continued the creative play to set up Ding for another two fantastic finishes.
Pond continued to grow the tally with a lovely lone effort hammering into the roof of the net toward the end of the game. Nüth finished the game off with an accurate shot into the top corner.

Result 2nd Match - MK Storm Won
MK Storm vs Solihull
Jordan broke the deadlock with a powerful skate through the line and a strong unassisted goal. Nüth who was double shifting on line 2 and 3 broke through on line 2 and finished accurately to increase the lead further to give MK Storm a strong attacking start.
Iacono coming onto line 2 surprised the Solihull line with some clever skills and finishing into the top corner then shortly after Nüth with a nice behind the goal play scored with a wrap-around finish.
A rapid McEwan increased the scored line further with 2 quick succession goals both unassisted. On the same shift Jordan continued to apply pressure with a nice, worked goal which was created by Ayres.
Jordan increased the scoring and the lead for MK Storm with fantastic, worked goals. C Calvert bagged a double towards the end of the game, as well as Nüth scoring a double and setting up Dudley for his first goal.

Result 3rd Match - MK Storm Won
MK Storm vs Coventry
Close well battled games across the lines that was a hard-fought defensive affair.
It took many good saves from Pinto to keep MK Storm in the game. M Calvert sealed the win for MK Storm with a slap shot into the Coventry goal from distance.
Well done to Pinto for his first closeout and a fantastic tournament defensive play by the team.
