TEAMS
All of our MK Storm Teams are overseen by our
Director of Coaching, Andy Linton.
Andy is an EIHA Level 3 Coach with over 25 years of ice hockey coaching experience, from Beginners through to International Level.
Andy coached the GB sledge hockey team who achieved Bronze medals in the 2013 World Championships.
He has coached many of the local adult Rec. teams and continues to coach the Hockey Excellence Learn to Play pathway.
As a Senior Coach for the EIHA, Andy helped to develop the Coaches and Managers Education Programmes and continues to teach the Level 1 and Level 2 Coach training courses.
ENTRY PATHWAY
Children need to have reached Hockey Excellence Level 4 (levels 5 & 6 must be passed before players can move out of pathway) to join our Entry Pathway and be born between 2013 and 2006.
We have 2 weekly training sessions and encourage all our children to join their team mates at public skate sessions as often as possible. Skills practise at home is a great way to reinforce skills learnt on the ice.
Players will have In-House full ice matches.
UNDER 10'S
Children need to have reached Hockey Excellence Level 4 (levels 5 & 6 must be passed once joined) to join the U10's and been born in 2014 or later.
We have 2 weekly training sessions and encourage all our children to join their team mates at public skate sessions as often as possible. Skills practise at home is a great way to reinforce skills learnt on the ice.
Players will have Cross-Ice matches.
UNDER 12'S
Players in the U12's are born in
2013 or 2012.
We have 3 weekly training sessions one of which is full ice and encourage children to get as much extra ice time and skills practise as possible.
U12 players move to play full ice matches.
UNDER 14'S
Players in the U14's are born in
2011 or 2010.
We have 3 weekly training sessions one of which is full ice and encourage children to get as much extra ice time and skills practise as possible.
U14 players continue to play full ice matches.
UNDER 16'S
Players in the U16's are born in
2009 or 2008.
We have 3 weekly training sessions one of which is full ice and encourage children to get as much extra ice time and skills practise as possible.
U16 players play full ice matches.
UNDER 18'S
Players in the U18's are born in
2007 or 2006.
We have 3 weekly training sessions one of which is full ice and encourage children to get as much extra ice time and skills practise as possible.
U18 players play full ice matches.
